SPC TO HOST FEST WEEK SUNDAY THROUGH DEC. 3 IN TOM T. HALL STUDIO

LEVELLAND – South Plains College’s Creative Arts department will host Fest Week from Sunday (Nov. 22) through Dec. 3 in the Tom T. Hall Production Studio. Each night of the festival will showcase different music ensembles.


 


Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with performances beginning at 6 p.m. There is no admission charge and the public is invited to attend.


 


Praise Fest kicks off the week of music on Sunday. The evening will feature a night of praise, worship and contemporary Christian music. The show will begin at 6 p.m. The bands are Fear of God playing at 6 p.m.; Jazmin & the Aladdins playing at 6:45 p.m.; and Happy Fun Times Jesus Band playing at 7:30 p.m.


 


Country Fest is Nov. 30 (Monday), and will feature modern country, traditional country, swing, Texas and southern style country music. The show will begin at 5 p.m. The bands are Pickin’ on the Plains playing at 6 p.m.; South Plains Playboys playing at 6:45 p.m.; Murky Waters performing at 7:30 p.m.; Red Dirt Ramblers playing at 8:15 p.m.; Out to Lunch playing at 9 p.m.; and Country Jukebox performing at 9:45 p.m.


 


Rock Fest is set for Dec. 1, and will feature classic, metal, alternative rock as well as rock and roll. The show will begin at 5 p.m. The bands are The Worst of Them playing at 5 p.m.; the Tate and Powerful playing at 5:45 p.m.; the Kings and Queens of Wallney performing at 6:30 p.m.; Hold the Mayo playing at 7:15 p.m.; Subdivision performing at 8 p.m.; The Boat playing at 8:45 p.m.; and Mousse Abuse playing at 9:30 p.m.


 


Groove Fest is Dec. 2, and will feature modern and traditional jazz, R&B and blues music. The show will begin at 5 p.m. The bands are Electric Jazz playing at 5 p.m.; Real Book performing at 5:45 p.m.; British Invasion playing at 6:30 p.m.; Flam Hammer performing at 7:15 p.m.; Jackalope playing at 8 p.m.; Stank Face performing at 8:45 p.m.; and Blue Plate Special playing at 9:30 p.m.


 


Thursday Night Showcase is Dec. 3, and will feature performances by SPC’s premiere ensembles Alterna TV and Thursday Night Live. The show will begin at 6 p.m. The bands are Funky See – Funky Do performing at 6 p.m.; Thursday Nite Live playing at 7:30 p.m.; and Alterna TV playing at 9 p.m.
